Who can join COGEF?
COGEF is open to any legally established company or professional association in Burkina Faso. The following may join:
- Sole proprietorships and commercial companies (LLCs, public limited companies, general partnerships, etc.)
- Professional associations and sector-based groups
- Federations and unions of businesses
- Public enterprises of a commercial nature
The company must be compliant with the tax and social security obligations in force in Burkina Faso.

How do I go about joining COGEF?
The membership procedure takes place in 4 simple steps:
- Download the form
Download the membership form corresponding to your type (company or association) from our website. - Prepare the application file
Gather the supporting documents: trade register, IFU, and statutes for associations. - Submit the application file
Submit your complete file at COGEF headquarters or send it by email to adhesion@cogef.bf. - Validation and payment
After validation by the membership committee, you will receive a notification to proceed with payment of the membership fee.
Is it possible to withdraw from COGEF?
Yes, any member may withdraw from COGEF at any time by sending a resignation letter to the Secretary General. The withdrawal takes effect at the end of the current year. Contributions already paid are non-refundable. It is recommended that you notify your withdrawal at least 3 months before the end of the fiscal year to avoid any contribution obligation for the following year.
