Leadership, Innovation, Entrepreneurship (LIEN)

The LIEN is an association of business leaders chaired by Mr. Achille W. OUEDRAOGO. It brings together around sixty members from various sectors of activity, with a combined estimated turnover of about 500 billion CFA francs. Structured around an executive board of 19 members, LIEN relies on a centralized system and an active network in several countries, notably Côte d’Ivoire, Togo, Senegal, Gabon, and Mali. LIEN has been a member of COGEF since 2019, and its President, Mr. Achille W. OUEDRAOGO, serves as Secretary in charge of Youth Entrepreneurship on the COGEF national executive bureau.

Missions / Vision / Activities

The LIEN’s mission is to represent and defend the interests of its members while fostering the emergence of responsible and committed business leaders, in a dynamic of sustainable growth that creates value and decent jobs. Its vision is to become a benchmark organization that offers quality services to its members and contributes to a competitive national economy.

News

LIEN will celebrate its 10th anniversary in July 2026 through a major event called “The 72 Hours of LIEN.” This event is intended as a platform for exchanges between the government and the private sector, aimed at strengthening collaboration and promoting strategic partnerships. It will feature workshops and experience-sharing sessions, with particular emphasis on the development and promotion of small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs).

Perspectives

• Strengthening and diversifying international strategic partnerships, particularly with China, India, Tunisia, and Egypt;
• Intensifying social initiatives in the areas of education, vocational training, and youth employability;
• Organizing thematic economic forums (digital technology, agribusiness, renewable energy, etc.);
• Creating a permanent platform for dialogue and exchange with public authorities and institutional partners.
